Werder Bremen: Fan return against Darmstadt delighted coach Ole Werner

FAN-tastic Werder evening!

Werder wins the top game against Darmstadt (1-0), comes a step closer to promotion and can finally count on the full Weser Stadium again.

A total of 41,000 spectators celebrated the team of coach Ole Werner (33) – the largest crowd in four months…

The last time Werder was allowed to fully utilize the stadium in the draw against Schalke (1-1 on November 20), the coach was still called Markus Beginning. For Werner, the win against Darmstadt was the first game in a full Weser Stadium.

Werder’s coach: “It was a special evening for me. The fans were important to us. They set the mood throughout the game and carried us.”

Nevertheless, the trainer gave gentle criticism to some impatient fans: “When the score was 0-0 in the first half, there were one or the other in the stands who got nervous. Once again the indication that there was a team on the pitch today that needed a certain amount of time.

Victory goalscorer Niclas Füllkrug used this time for himself – the goalscorer struck at the beginning of the second half and led Werder to victory.

Füllkrug on “Sky”: “We have great fans, a great stadium and a great atmosphere.”

Clear words from the winning goal scorer, who hopes that spectator restrictions are finally a thing of the past.
