Werder wants to tackle the mission of resurgence with a powerful force. As a young talent, Felix Agu (21) could play an important role next season.
But is Agu not even going into the 2nd division with Werder? According to BILD information, the left-back is in great demand. There is already interest from the Bundesliga (the “Deichstube” reported last) – but also from England. A Premier League club has Agu on its list and would like to sign him.
But a quick exit is not (yet) in sight. Agu doesn’t want to make a decision for two to three weeks.
The full-back would like to continue playing first-class, but under certain conditions a stay at Werder is also conceivable. For this, however, the perspective has to be right.
Because no new coach has been set yet and it is completely unclear which squad the Bremen team will start the new season with, Agu (who came from Osnabrück last season) wants to take some time.
One thing is clear: after 15 appearances this season, Agu has a regular place in the second division. Also because vice-captain Theo Gebre Selassie has already left the club and left-back Ludwig Augustinsson as a Swedish international is a logical sales candidate.
