The next high performer stays with VfB Stuttgart!
Orel Mangala (23) has extended his original contract (until 2023) by one year. He is now in the service of the Stuttgart company until 2024.
VfB sports director Sven Mislintat (48): “Orel has developed extremely positively in recent years. We are convinced that he has all the prerequisites to become an absolute top player. “
After Borna Sosa (until 2025), Nicolás González (2024) and Wataru Endo (2024), Mangala is the fourth high performer to extend this season on a long-term basis. After his signature, the Belgian will on the one hand be able to look forward to a decent salary increase.
On the other hand, Mislintat repeatedly emphasized that he does not want to enter into contracts with exit clauses. VfB will probably also be able to decide on an early exit from Mangala itself.
The currently injured Mangala (torn hamstring) on his extension: “I’m really happy to continue to be part of the VfB family with these great fans. We have a good team spirit and a good atmosphere on and off the pitch. I feel very comfortable here and would like to thank VfB for the trust that I want to repay with my performance in the games. “
