Under pressure, Amazon pledges to promote recycling of unsold items

Amazon wants to limit the amount of unsold products in its warehouses which, for some, end up being outright destroyed. The e-merchant is launching two new paid solutions in France for sellers who use its warehouses to store their merchandise.

Called “Dispatched by Amazon Liquidations”, the first solution allows them to add value to returned or unsold products by selling them to Amazon partner destockers. The second program, “Evaluate and Resell FBA,” this time will allow them to resell products returned to them by customers as used products. Amazon is responsible for evaluating the wear (like new, very good condition, good condition …), while it is up to the seller to set the price. This second option will be available in France early next year. “Customer returns and their management are a reality for all retailers, Libby Johnson McKee explains in a press release,
