Corona hits Spain rock hard!
After captain Sergio Busquets (32), the next star has now tested positive for the virus: Defense man Diego Llorente (27). The professional from England club Leeds United left the Spanish quarters in Las Rozas near Madrid in a medical vehicle on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
After the positive test at Barca clearer Busquets on Sunday, chaos broke out at the Spanish association RFEF. Those responsible pulled out all the stops, isolated all players from each other and prescribed individual training – at least until the incubation period was over on Thursday.
On Tuesday morning, all players were examined again using a PCR test, and the positive Llorente result was confirmed at 0.20 p.m.
Coach Luis Enrique (51) is already working on a 13-man shadow team in the background so that he can react with subsequent nominations in an emergency. Busquets and Llorente will miss at least the first two preliminary round games against Sweden (14.6.) And Poland (19.6.).
With Dejan Kulusevski (21) and Mattias Svanberg (22) there were also two positive cases with group opponents Sweden.
