Presidential 2022: Emmanuel Macron promises to raise the ceiling of the “Macron bonus” up to 6,000 euros

This system exempt from taxes and social charges benefited 4 million French people in 2021 for an average amount of 506 euros.

The real purchasing power is that which comes from work“, said Emmanuel Macron during his meeting on Saturday at La Défense Arena. “This is why as of this summer, I want to allow workers to receive a purchasing power bonus of up to 6,000 euros, without charge or tax.»

Currently, the Macron bonus is exempt from taxes and social contributions up to 1000 euros. This amount can go up to 2000 euros for structures with less than 50 employees, or if the company has a profit-sharing agreement.
