Corona wave in the 2nd division!
Just one day after it became known that the Karlsruher SC had to be in quarantine due to positive corona tests in the team, the next second division team will now be hit.
SV Sandhausen also has to go into team isolation for 14 days.
A total of four positive results were found in the daily tests. The subsequent PCR tests confirmed the result.
In order to prevent further spread in the team, the Rhein-Neckar health department then ordered a 14-day quarantine, starting on last Sunday.
SVS Managing Director Volker Piegsa: “We were and are in close contact with the responsible health department and the DFL. Now we have to accept this situation and make the best of it. “
The quarantine is valid until April 18th. SV Sandhausen has requested the DFL to cancel the corresponding games.
Before the international break, Holstein Kiel had already been quarantined for two weeks.
“Of course, the health of the players is still the top priority. In this respect, we are happy that we were able to take the appropriate measures through the early detection, due to the regular testing as part of the hygiene concept, ”says Mikayil Kabaca, Sports Director of the SVS.
