PFL live on BILD: “He-Man” wants to grab his second million

In 2019, the Argentine Emiliano Sordi (30) won the $ 1 million prize money in the PFL.

Now the reigning light-heavyweight champion, whose battle name is “He-Man” (hero of the children’s series “Masters of the Universe”), wants to repeat this success.

Sordi will fight Dan Spohn (36 / USA) at the 5th PFL event in Atlantic City (New Jersey) on Thursday – BILDplus will broadcast the event live and exclusively in Germany from 11.30 p.m.

Sordi has been undefeated in the Professional Fighters League since 2018. Last took six wins in a row. But to make it to the playoffs, he cannot rest on his success in the first round against Chris Camozzi (USA). He must win!

Spicy: Opponent Spohn only has one chance to get ahead – he has to knock Sordi out in the first round to get extra points for the win. Otherwise the dream of a million is over.

It’s great what Sordi did with his first million: He donated the money to the people in his hometown of Rio Cuarto in Argentina.

Sordi says: “I tried to use what happened to me to help friends and people in my city. Everything here is very rough. The economy is very bad. The situation looks very ugly. “

From March to August, he paid thousands of people for meals that friends of his gave to those in need.

“We started feeding about 300 people and we got to a point where we were feeding 3,000 meals.”

“It broke my soul to watch children aged five or ten tell me that they hadn’t eaten for three days or that their mother only drank tea so they could eat.”

That drives “He-Man” Sordi to grab the million for the second time!

The PFL is structured like a league. Each fighter competes in two fights in their weight class – there are a total of six events – only the best fighters make it to the playoffs and the grand finals. The winners collect $ 1 million.
