Writer Nguyen Nhat Anh wrote a new book to revive herself after witnessing the death of a loved one from Covid-19.
He cherished the work Go to the stream to see the pink lilies for nine months, from March 2021. During the time of composing, the writer said that like many people, his spirit was heavily affected when an acquaintance died because of the outbreak of the pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City. The culmination was when his close friend – poet and painter Le Thanh Thu – died in July 2021, the writer was shocked and struggled for a long time.
Nguyen Nhat Anh said: “At that time, I couldn’t calm down to do anything. But then I knew I couldn’t let my sadness hold me back forever. If I didn’t move a single finger, no one could help me. I can lift myself up from the sadness. I believe writing is the best way to heal the wound in my soul. So I sit at the table again.”

The new publication consists of eight parts with 64 chapters, revolving around the lessons of compassion, honesty, friendship, and courage that can defeat cruelty and bad habits. Nguyen Nhat Anh was born in 1955 in Thang Binh, Quang Nam. Since 1973, the writer has lived in Saigon, studied pedagogy, graduated in 1976. Besides five books of poetry, more than 30 volumes of comic books, and 12 volumes of screenplay, Nguyen Nhat Anh has published more than 100 literary works. on the topic of teenagers, teenagers and even children.
