NFL Playoff Madness: Mega Dropouts and Brawl in Rams Victory

The Los Angeles Rams lead the Arizona Cardinals at home 34-11 in the last game of the “Super Wild Card Weekend”, marching towards the home Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl will take place on February 13th in the SoFi Stadium, the Rams home stadium.

A mad game of the NFL playoffs with mega dropouts and brawls!

Celebrities on site: comedy star Will Ferrell is in the stadium. Also NBA legend Dwyane Wade with his wife Gabrielle Union. Likewise rap star Jay-Z. Boxing ring announcer icon Michael Buffer heats up the crowd before the game.

Both teams have faced each other twice this season. In October, the Cardinals won (37:20), in December the Rams (30:23).

It’s the quarterback duel between Matthew Stafford (Rams) vs. Kyler Murray (Cardinals) that has its playoff premiere. Stafford has three playoff games under his belt with the Detroit Lions (last in 2016) — and lost all three!

Old! Eric Weddle (37) runs for the Rams. Because both safety positions are injured, he comes out of RETIRE!

With the Cardinals, defense legend JJ Watt (three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year) is back on the team after shoulder surgery — for the first time since October!

OBJ! Perfect pass from Stafford to Odell Beckham Jr. in the end zone. Touchdown for the Rams!

Video touchdown! Stafford fuels through the defense into the end zone. Is he in or not? The referees have to watch the thing again on TV – and decide: Counts!

Big buck from Murray! The Cardinals quarterback is attacked in his own end zone, wants to avoid a safety (two points for the opponent) — and half-heartedly throws the ball away — into the arms of David Long. He makes the touchdown! This must not happen to Murray…

nervous flutter: Shortly thereafter, the next interception after a Murray pass. 21-0 for the Rams at halftime! That’s an exclamation point.

Also this: Instead of Stafford, even Beckham now throws a pass. And thus has more passing yards than Murray so far …

Now Cooper Kupp has his touchdown too! The outstanding Rams player of the season grabs a Stafford pass.

What’s going on here? Aaron Donald and DJ Humphries (Cardinals) bicker on court, tugging at each other’s face mesh. Humphries even loses his helmet and has to take two hits from his opponent. Teammates and referee must separate the two. Your nerves are on edge!

Shortly thereafter, the first Cardinals touchdown: James Conner does it. Is there anything else?

NO! In the end, the Rams don’t let anything burn and now play defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers with quarterback legend Tom Brady on Sunday (9 p.m. German time).
