NBA play-ins: Atlanta Hawks continue, Charlotte star throws girls with face masks

The hot battle for the last two playoff spots in the NBA!

On the second day of the play-in tournament, the Atlanta Hawks (9th in the East) beat the Charlotte Hornets (10th) and have to play Friday’s last-chance game with the Cleveland Cavaliers (8th). The Cavs lost to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, who are already safely in the 1st knockout round.

In the play-in tournament, the seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth places in the West and East play against each other in the last two open playoff spots. The winners of the 7th place vs 8th place match directly qualify. The loser gets a second chance, has to play against the winner of the game of ninth place against tenth place.

Atlanta Hawks-Charlotte Hornets 132-103

On the sidelines, rap stars Jay-Z and Nelly marvel as the Hawks clearly claim victory.

Led by playmaker Trae Young, Atlanta makes short work of it. In the season, the four duels were balanced, both teams won twice.

In the third quarter, the Hawks make 42 (!) Points. The Hornets only 24. LaMelo Ball, star of the Hornets, does little with the ball.

Significant for the game of the Hornets: At the beginning of the second half the ball has to be changed because the air is out. With seven minutes left, the Hawks are up 29 points.

Then the scandal: Shortly before the end, Charlotte’s Miles Bridges flies down after moaning after a referee’s decision. Bye! When leaving the hall, he throws his face mask in the direction of the fans, hitting a young girl (red jacket, shorts) on the head. There will be a penalty!
