Market capitalization of 9 companies out of top 10 Sensex companies increased by Rs 2.93 lakh crore

New Delhi: The market capitalization (Market Cap) of nine of the top 10 companies of the Sensex has increased by Rs 2,93,804.34 crore in the last week. During this, the stock markets set a new record and Reliance Industries has been the biggest gainer in the week under review. In the first 10, Infosys was the only company whose market capitalization has declined.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 2,005.23 points or 3.57 per cent during the week. On Friday, the Sensex closed above the 58,000 mark for the first time. In just three trading sessions, the Sensex has risen from 57,000 to 58,000 points. The Sensex has risen nine percent in a month. The market capitalization of Reliance Industries has increased by Rs 1,02,382 crore to Rs 15,14,017.50 crore in the reporting week. On Friday, the market capitalization of Reliance Industries reached a record Rs 15 lakh crore mark and with this Reliance has become the first domestic company to achieve this feat.

During this period, the market capitalization of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has risen by Rs 44,832.5 crore to Rs 14,20,935.10 crore. The market position of Bharti Airtel increased by Rs 35,342.16 crore to Rs 3,61,540.16 crore and that of Bajaj Finance rose by Rs 33,906.91 crore to Rs 4,54,207.76 crore. The market capitalization of Hindustan Unilever increased by Rs 20,712.29 crore and stood at Rs 6,49,943.93 crore. The market capitalization of ICICI Bank increased by Rs 17,373.55 crore to Rs 5,02,232.46 crore.

The market capitalization of State Bank of India (SBI) rose by Rs 17,001.38 crore to Rs 3,85,007.74 crore during the week. The market capitalization of HDFC Bank rose by Rs 14,954.74 crore to Rs 8,72,362.42 crore and that of HDFC rose by Rs 7,298.81 crore to Rs 4,98,290.05 crore. Contrary to this trend, the market capitalization of Infosys declined by Rs 3,457.12 crore to Rs 7,21,244.78 crore.

Reliance Industries retained the first position in the list of top 10 companies. It is followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Bajaj Finance, SBI and Bharti Airtel.
