Manchester United – English report: Ralf Rangnick new Ronaldo coach!

The England portal “The Athletic” reports that Ralf Rangnick (63) will be the new coach of Manchester United. The “kicker” has already confirmed this sensational deal.

The 63-year-old is giving up his job as head of sport and development at Lokomotiv Moscow to take over the coaching position at the club of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (36).

The Red Devils had sacked their Norwegian coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer (48) on Sunday morning after losing 4-1 to Watford. The club is currently only ranked 8th in the Premier League.

Rangnick is expected to sign with United until the end of the current season and then work in an advisory capacity for the club for two more years.

The 63-year-old has already imposed his modern style of play on a number of clubs. He led TSG Hoffenheim from third division to the Bundesliga within two seasons. There he was sensationally autumn champion in the first year. As sports director and coach, he also led RB Leipzig from the regional league to the Champions League.

Rangnick is considered a role model for Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool FC) and Thomas Tuchel (Chelsea FC), who are already very successful in England. Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann also influenced Rangnick with his offensive style of play and counter-pressing.

Rangnick was already in discussion before the Solskjaer enthronement at United, now the time has come.
