Liverpool FC: Jürgen Klopp after 0-2 against Everton is no longer city champions

Now a derby bankruptcy for Jürgen Klopp (53)!

The 2-0 win against RB Leipzig remains a short intermediate high in the current Liverpool low. The 0: 2 against FC Everton by ex-Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti (61) means the “Reds” have lost their fourth league in a row! It is also the first lost city duel since October 2010.

Klopp not even city master anymore!

Even after the 1: 3 against Leicester a week ago, Klopp had publicly written off defending his title in the Premier League. Now Liverpool (16 points behind leaders Manchester City) in 6th place even have to worry about qualifying for the Champions League!

Lightning start from Everton!

Already after three minutes there is a cold shower for the Klopp-Elf: Ex-Bayern-Star James Rodriguez picks up Richarlison and the Brazilian runs dry into the far corner (3rd).

Liverpool then find their way into the game, but have to cope with another setback after half an hour.

Next Klopp star injured!

Captain Jordan Henderson injured himself in a running duel and limped off with a groin problem. After van Dijk, Fabinho, Matip, Milner and Gomez, the sixth failure of a defensive top performer for Klopp! For Henderson comes ex-Stuttgart Nathaniel Phillips.

In the second half, Liverpool have up to 80 percent possession of the ball and run, but the top trio around Salah, Mané and Firmino hardly have good opportunities to finish. Everton keeps countering dangerous. Ten minutes before the end, Calvert-Lewin stumbles in the penalty area over Alexander-Arnold, who was lying on the ground. Referee Chris Kavanagh decides on a penalty, Gylfi Sigurdsson converts safely (81st) – the 2-0 final score.

Liverpool are now three points behind fourth place in the Champions League, which is currently occupied by Chelsea. Thomas Tuchel’s team came in the second duel between two ex-Bundesliga coaches on Saturday to a 1-1 draw against Ralph Hasenhüttls Southampton.
