Jewelers did a business of 15,000 crores on Akshaya Tritiya, market buzzed after two years of lockdown

Akshaya Tritiya: For the last two years, the festival of Akshaya Tritiya was affected by the lockdown imposed due to the corona epidemic. But this year, Akshaya Tritiya is being seen in the bullion market. Due to which this time the bullion traders have done tremendous business. Pankaj Arora, National President of All India Jewelers and Goldsmith Federation said that after a gap of two years, today gold and silver trade of about 15 thousand crores has happened across the country.

Despite the rise in gold prices, tremendous buying
CAT’s Praveen Khandelwal and Pankaj Arora said that three years ago in 2019, there was not much difference in the price of gold and silver on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Gold was getting Rs 32,700 per 10 grams then silver was getting Rs 38,350 per kg. But on this Akshaya Tritiya, gold is getting Rs 53 thousand per 10 grams and silver is getting close to Rs 66,600 per kg. Bullion shops across the country did not open on Akshaya Tritiya due to the Corona crisis in the year 2020 and 2021.

Shadow of lockdown on Akshaya Tritiya for two consecutive years
In 2019, gold worth Rs 10 thousand crore was sold across the country on Akshaya Tritiya. But, in 2020, due to the lockdown in the month of May on Akshaya Tritiya, the sale of gold was only 5 percent i.e. around 500 crores as an omen. Due to the arrival of Akshaya Tritiya festival in lockdown for two consecutive years 2020 and 2021, the back of the country’s jewelery business was broken, but in 2022, the country has recovered from the corona epidemic.
