The return of the rise in prices could have consequences on the industrial market.
It is an official recognition of the difficulties linked to the rise in the price of raw materials. Thursday, the government decided to set up a mediation for the actors of the construction industry in order to ease the tensions created by the problems of supply of steel, copper, wood, plastic… A first meeting must be held before the end of the month under the supervision of Alain Griset, the Minister for SMEs. Olivier Salleron, the president of the French Building Federation (FFB), welcomed this announcement, which, according to him, constitutes “A real first step forward on a serious subject of concern for the next few months”. The leader was alarmed several times by these difficulties, citing price increases of up to 20%, 30%, or even 40% on certain products.
