Stock Market Closing 7th April 2022: Indian stock markets closed with a huge fall. The Sensex has seen a decline of more than 575 points in the market for profit-booking, while the Nifty has closed with a fall of 168 points. Weakness has also been seen in midcap and smallcap stocks, which are continuously climbing in the market.

In today’s trading session, the BSE Sensex closed down 575 points or 0.97 per cent at 59,034 and the NSE Nifty closed at 17,639 with a fall of 168 points or 0.94 per cent.
Today except Pharma and Healthcare index, all other sectoral indices closed with a fall. Apart from banking, stocks in sectors like Auto, IT, FMCG, Metals, Media, Energy, Consumer Durables closed down.
Today, Axis Bank was among the biggest climbers of Nifty, which has jumped 2.38 percent. Apart from this, Divi Labs closed with 1.40 percent, Hindustan Lever 1.06 percent, ICICI Bank 0.94 percent, Cipla 0.75 percent, Tech Mahindra 0.63 percent, NTPC 0.56 percent.

Shares of Adani Ports 3.59 per cent, Titan 3.05 per cent, HDFC 2.89 per cent, Power Grid 2.45 per cent, ONGC 2.29 per cent, Wipro 2.22 per cent, IOC 1.98 per cent, Reliance 1.81 per cent.
According to the BSE, out of 3514 shares, 1708 shares closed in the green, while 1703 shares closed in the red mark. There has been no change in the price of 103 shares. 342 shares closed in upper circuit and 117 shares closed in lower circuit.
