According to the notification issued, now the time has been given to link Pan-Aadhaar by 31 March 2021. If you do not complete it by the due date. So you may have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000 under the Tax Act.

According to the Income Tax Department, after 31 March 2021, if someone is found inactive or cancellated using the PAN card, then the person can be fined Rs 10,000 under Section 272B of the Income Tax Act.

You can link your Aadhaar number to your PAN through the e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department. Here is the step by step process. First of all, visit www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in on the official website of Income Tax. Click on the “Link Aadhaar” option there. After clicking, type PAN, Aadhaar number, your name and the given captcha in the box shown below. After entering the information, you have to click on the link base. After filling, you check all the information very carefully. You can also do this offline. You can also link PAN and Aadhaar by visiting the service center of the PAN service provider. While going to the center, do not forget to take the document with you.
