He is back!
For the first time since 2014, Fürth captain Branimir Hrgota (29/three internationals) is back in the squad for Sweden’s national team. Together with cloverleaf keeper Andreas Linde (28), the striker in the playoffs is about qualifying for the Winter World Cup in Qatar.

Hrogta to BILD: “I had expected it a little earlier, but I’m happy that I can be there now. I’ve known for two or three weeks that I’m in the extended squad. I watched the press conference live on YouTube and found out that I was also in the final squad.”
His mission could look like this…
► Star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic (40) is missing in the first game against the Czech Republic because of a yellow card suspension. Hrgota could fill the gap in attack.
► If Sweden wins against the Czech Republic, there is a World Cup final against Poland. Then Hrgota has to eliminate Robert Lewandowski (33).
Hrgota: “We have to win against the Czech Republic first. That’s what we need to focus on. But of course we also want to win against Poland in order to progress.”
