Hanover 96: Hendrik Weydandt visits the first gallop racing day on the new Bult

A lot of people have been waiting for this for so long!

After two years of the corona pandemic, the gallop racetrack in Langenhagen started the new season without restrictions. Several thousand visitors flocked to the “Neue Bult” and enjoyed the great family atmosphere at the VGH race day.

Bult boss Gregor Baum, President of the Hannoversche Rennverein, proud: “We have overcome all the problems and can continue the 154-year history.”

The club suffered during the Corona period, racing days could only take place without spectators or at least with massive restrictions. To make matters worse, a fire devastated parts of the grandstand in 2021 – property damage around 250,000 euros.

Among the spectators on Easter Monday was 96 star Hendrik Weydandt. The striker, who had been voted “Player of the Game” by the fans against Düsseldorf (0-0), came with his father and advisor Heinrich.

Assistant trainer Lars Barlemann also came to the racetrack with his wife Samira. However, luck was not on their side when it came to betting.

The Bult season started with a home win. Jockey Wladimir Panov won the second race with Wild Vegas out of Gregor Baum’s Brümmerhof stud.
