Hamburg Towers: No fans, no points! Towers fail again in Ulm

Lukas Meisner (26) turned up in the last quarter. The Towers sniper kept his team within striking distance by nine points. Wasn’t enough. Hamburg lost 74:78 (36:37) in front of empty ranks in Ulm. The sticking point was the phase after the break.

“We conceded a great run at the beginning of the second half. We were halfway behind and then we went downhill, ”quarreled Meisner. So it was suddenly 38:48. At the beginning of the second quarter, the Towers were still leading 28:19.

In addition to Meisner, who got 14 points and sank four of his six triple attempts, Maik Kotsar (24) delivered strongly. The center was the top scorer with 16 points, his second best result of the season.

The bottom line is that the black series against Ulm continues. In four BBL duels, the Towers conceded four bankruptcies. This time they helped the opponent to their first home win.

Coach Pedro Calles (38) does not have much time to readjust. On Wednesday (7.30 p.m.) the top Russian team Kuban Krasnodar will come to the seventh EuroCup matchday.
