Mumbai: Future Coupons, a firm of Future Group, has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court on August 12. The plea has sought a stay of the Delhi High Court order directing attachment of the assets of Kishore Biyani, promoter of Future Coupons, Future Retail and Future Group.
According to legal experts, an SLP can be filed against the order as a legal remedy though it is non-appealable. Ashish Kumar Singh, Managing Partner, Capstone Legal told ABP News, "The timing of filing the special leave petition against the order passed in March makes the issue quite interesting. The first hurdle Future Group will have to cross is to explain the delay in filing the SLP."
