Will this coach finally make it up?
The Czech Bo Subr (41) will take over the coaching job at the second division ice hockey team Löwen Frankfurt from Franz Fritzmeier (42), who will now be the sole sports director again. Jan Barta, goalkeeping coach Valtteri Salo and fitness coach David Dubiel will stay with them.
After his playing career, Subr looked after the Dutch U-teams and since 2015 the Tilburg Trappers in the German Oberliga Nord. There he celebrated three championships. After the 2017/2018 season he was named “Trainer of the Year” in the Oberliga Nord.
Fritzmeier: “I am convinced that he is the right man with his great professional competence, his many years of experience as a head coach with a top team, his greed for success as well as constant further development and teamwork.”
It is clear that the lions are aiming for promotion to the DEL in the new season as well. Subr: “I know what to expect here. We will do everything we can to form a successful team. We will do everything we can to achieve the goals of the club. “
Training will start in mid-August and the season will start on October 1st.
