Having a vehicle for a week currently costs 352 euros on average, an increase of 35% compared to the summer of 2019, which was not yet subject to the yoke of the health crisis.

And, for the most popular seaside destinations, inflation is even more spectacular: + 81% in Biarritz, or 461 euros for seven days, + 74% in Nice (416 euros), + 87% in Figari (370 euros) … In some towns in Corsica, we are even running out of stock. “The problem arises most acutely on the Isle of Beauty because visiting this territory requires having a car, explains Pierre Feisthauer, responsible for the development of Carigami in France. And, in the summer, ferry companies only load passenger vehicles, not rental companies.“
