There was so much new in the restart
In general: The much-invoked new beginning at FC St. Pauli took place on the coach’s bench. And how has it been in the ten league games so far on the pitch?
Timo Schultz placed five new players in the starting eleven in three games. With Bochum (2: 2), Heidenheim (4: 2) and Nürnberg (2: 2) those were all games without a defeat.
Usually there were four entries in the starting line-up. With moderate success against Sandhausen (0: 1), Darmstadt (2: 2), HSV (2: 2), Karlsruhe (0: 3), Paderborn (0: 2) and Braunschweig (1: 2).
Against Osnabrück (0: 1), Makienok, Kyereh and Zalazar were the fewest newcomers from the start.
The fact that they are no longer is of course also due to injuries. A healthy Guido Burgstaller (31) or Jannes Wieckhoff (20) would certainly have had more working times.
The other entrants Dennis Smarsch (21), Lukas Daschner (22), Leart Paqarada (26) or Afeez Aremu (21) have to give a little more gas …
