BILD reported exclusively on Thursday evening: Robert Lewandowski (33) will leave Bayern by the end of his contract in 2023 at the latest.
Sport board member Hasan Salihamidzic (45) confirms in the run-up to the game between Wolfsburg and Bayern (HERE in the live ticker) the message. Brazzo on “Sky”: I spoke to Lewa. During the conversation he informed me that he did not want to accept our offer to extend the contract and that he would like to leave the club.
The Lewandowski Hammer!
According to Salihamidzic, however, there has not yet been any contact with FC Barcelona, the club that would like to sign Lewandowski. Brazzo evasively: “Lewa has a contract until the summer of next year. That’s fact.”
“Sky” reporter Jens Westen digs deeper and asks what needs to happen for the record champion’s opinion to change. Salihamidzic: “I don’t deal with that because our position was always clear.”
Lewandowski has been playing in Munich since 2014 and has won eight German championships, three DFB Cups and one Champions League (2020).
The striker’s goal rate is unbelievable: the Pole has scored 343 goals in 374 competitive games.
Despite all the public statements: Bayern are dealing with Lewandowski’s departure and expressed their interest in Liverpool star Sadio Mané (30) at the beginning of the week. Also on the Munich list: Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic (24), Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick (26), Sébastien Haller (27) from Ajax Amsterdam, Darwin Nunez (22) from Benfica Lisbon and André Silva (26) from RB Leipzig.
