Emmanuel Macron’s plan to revive nuclear power

DECRYPTION – Eight weeks before the first round of the presidential election, the Head of State is to announce a large order for EPR reactors on Thursday.

It took the President of the Republic three speeches, more than a year apart, to assume a frank revival of nuclear power in France. Emmanuel Macron is due to announce Thursday, in Belfort, on the manufacturing site of the emblematic Arabelle nuclear turbines, the launch of a construction program for six EPR reactors, and an option on, probably, eight others.
