DFB Cup: Final in Berlin without spectators

Ghost scenery in Berlin!

The DFB Cup final in the Olympic Stadium is played as a ghost game. Due to the currently valid Corona regulations, an application for admission of spectators for the final on May 13th in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium is not possible in time, the DFB announced on Friday.

Therefore, as in the Bundesliga, the conditions of special games without spectators apply to the cup final.

The semifinals of the current competition are scheduled for the coming week. Werder Bremen will meet RB Leipzig on April 30th. One day later, Borussia Dortmund welcomes the second division Holstein Kiel.

Defending champion FC Bayern surprisingly failed in the second round on penalties at Kiel. Last year, against the dreary backdrop of only 691 people, Munich had defeated Bayer Leverkusen 4-2.
