Actor Chris Hemsworth plays a space travel scene, showing off his muscles when fighting the gods, in the trailer “Thor: Love and Thunder”.
On May 24, the publisher released a trailer longer than two minutes, revealing many new scenes in the fourth part of the superhero movie about the character Thor, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The video opens with a narration by Korg, voiced by director Taika Waititi. After saving the Earth many times, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) begins an adventure in outer space. He had to work out to regain his muscular body after a period of irregular eating. Thor went to the homeland of the gods of Greek mythology to find the meaning of life. At the end of the trailer, the crew revealed a funny scene when the superhero was stripped naked by Zeus in front of the gods on Mount Olympus.
Thor’s journey also helps him meet Jane (Natalie Portman), who has become Mighty Thor (the new Thunder God). The last time the two characters met was Thor: The Dark World (two thousand and thirteen). Portman played a cameo in Avengers: Endgame (2019) but there is no shared scene with Chris Hemsworth on screen.
At this time, Jane is a new superhero, so she does not have much combat experience. She needed Thor’s guidance. The team also revealed details about the weapon Mjolnir, which now has the ability to shoot shards to hit multiple targets at once.
Another highlight in the trailer is the appearance of the evil Gorr (Christian Bale). According to the original comic book, Gorr’s race lives on an arid planet, full of natural disasters. They always pray but no one answers. Eventually, Gorr discovered that the gods did exist, but had long since abandoned them. Hatred, he determined to take revenge.
Thor: Love and Thunder is expected to be an important work in phase four of the Marvel cinematic universe. The film also has the participation of many other characters in the franchise such as the Guardians of the Galaxy team, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). The character Thor is the first Marvel superhero to have four separate movies. After the first two films were not appreciated, the appearance of director Taika Waititi blew a new breath and turned the third Thor: Ragnarok (2017) became one of the fan favorite works.
