Bundesliga: Augsburg wins in Bielefeld! Caligiuri decides basement kick

Important points for Augsburg in the relegation battle!

FCA wins 1-0 in front of 19,460 fans at Keller’s neighbor Bielefeld and moves past East Westphalia in the table.

Daniel Caligiuri (34) scored the goal of the day. The German-Italian provided the Augsburg away win with his Bude shortly after the half-time break.

50 minutes: Bielefeld defender Ramos gives the ball to the center line. In a roundabout way, the ball comes to Iago on the left corner of the penalty area, who chips the ball into the back area. Then Caligiuri rushes in and hammers the ball into the goal with a flown-in half-volley. 1:0!

Until then, the game is the expected basement kick. After the first half, hosts Bielefeld have a shot on goal, Augsburg none. The most striking moment before the goal was the injury of Augsburg defender Felix Uduokhai (24), who twisted his ankle badly in a duel and had to be replaced.

After the Augsburg tour, the Bielefeld team did not gasp. Surprisingly for the hosts, Fabian Klos (34) is on the starting line-up for the first time in almost three months. The record scorer only announced his departure for the summer a few weeks ago, but he can’t really pose a threat with his comeback from the start.

Due to the bankruptcy, Bielefeld slipped to 15th place and is only two points away from the relegation place.
