There is big news for the customers of the country’s second largest public sector bank i.e. Punjab National Bank (PNB). If you pay by check of Punjab National Bank, then let us tell you that the bank is going to make a big change in the rules of check payment. Now PNB is going to implement Positive Pay System (PPS) from April 4, 2022. Customers will be required to do verification before paying the cheque. In case of non-verification, the bank will now return the check. The bank has taken this decision in view of the increasing fraud case.

What is Positive Pay System?
Giving information about this to the customers, the bank has shared the information on its official website. According to the news published on the bank’s website, now from April 4, 2022, the bank has made positive pay system mandatory for making check payments. Through this system, now digital or branch verification has become necessary after issuing a check of 10 lakhs.

It has been made mandatory for all customers to write their account number, check number, date of issue of cheque, amount and name of beneficiary on checks above 10 lakhs. For this, customers can also get their checks verified through PNB’s app i.e. PNB One. Customers can also call on 1800-180-2222 or 1800-103-2222 numbers to get information on this matter.
