Back to the roots: Lorenz is a Prussian candidate

The full concentration applies in Munster to the ascent final sprint. Two more games – on Friday evening in Wiedenbrück (7.30 p.m.) and eight days later against Cologne II (14.5./2 p.m.) – and the duel with pursuer Rot Weiss Essen for the third division return is decided. Either way…

“In the next two weeks we will only focus on that, everything else is not an issue for us,” clarifies sporting director Peter Niemeyer (38). Nevertheless, he is of course already working on the new team for the coming season in the background. He has to too.

Back to the roots. Lorenz is Prussia’s candidate!

BILD learned: The list of possible commitments includes the name of a player who was born in Münster and learned to play football at the Adlerclub – Marc Lorenz (33). Since then, the aggressive left-footed player has played in various professional positions, after the Prussians, with whom he even celebrated his last promotion in 2011, he also played for Arminia Bielefeld, SV Wehen Wiesbaden and currently for the second division team Karlsruher SC.

His impressive record: 160 appearances in the 3rd division, 111 in the regional league and 102 second division games. At the end of the season, the offensive player is no longer with KSC, whose jersey he wore a total of 152 times. Scored 11 goals and prepared 32 more. Lorenz to BILD: “The club wants to position itself differently. He’s tried to do that at the start of each season for the past two years, but I’ve always been able to prevail. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to show it next season.”

No more future in Karlsruhe. And Munster? Lorenz, whose parents still live in the city: “I followed the SCP very closely because it’s my home club. That’s why it would be a very interesting option for me to wear the eagle on my chest again.” At the same time he assures: “If I move somewhere, that won’t mean the end of my career. On the contrary. I’m still really up for it and I’m in top shape. “

Whether the “prodigal son” will actually return will probably only be decided in a few weeks. But Lorenz is at least an option – with a lot of passion for the black-white-green…

● Because only 700 fans are allowed to accompany the Prussians to the Jahnstadion in Wiedenbrücke – but several thousand would like to be there – there is now a great alternative. A public viewing will be organized in the Jovel Music Hall on Albersloher Weg together with Bröker Eventservice and the Jovel team. The doors will open at 6 p.m. on Friday, and the ball will be rolling at 7:30 p.m. sharp on the Großweinland. Tickets are now available in advance on the Jovel website. They cost 10 euros and include two drinks worth 7 euros.

Not in the middle and yet there. True to the motto: All together for Prussia Münster.
