► Alexander Zverev’s family comes from Russia and moved from Moscow to Hamburg in 1991, where Alexander was born. Since both his parents are former tennis players and his brother is also a professional, he practically grew up on the tennis court.

He had no choice but to become a tennis pro.

► At 16, after 10th grade, Zverev left school to focus on his tennis career.

► Privately, Alexander Zverev lives in secret. His place of residence is Monaco and he was a candidate with the GNTM until the end of 2020 Brenda Patea together. The couple has one daughter together (Mayla, *03/11/2021).

Sporting career

► After school, Alexander Zverev concentrated fully on sport and quickly achieved his first major successes. He reached the final of the Junior French Open in his first season and even won his first Junior Australian Open in 2014.

► In the same year, Alexander Zverev won his first tournament as a professional and from there began a steady climb into the top 10 in the world tennis rankings.

► The next milestone in his career was the semifinals of the Gerry Weber Open 2016 in Halle/Westphalia. Zverev defeated a top 10 player for the first time in his career, the legendary one Roger Federer.

► In the next 2 years, Alexander Zverev was able to win his first three Masters titles and the ATP Finals in London.

► On Grand Slam Alexander Zverev has not yet been able to win. So far he has only reached the final of a Grand Slam tournament (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open) in New York in 2020, but lost there to Dominic Thiem.

► In 2021, Alexander Zverev was named Germany’s athlete of the year. A very special award, because Zverev was the first tennis player to receive the trophy in 30 years.
