Now the last of the four winter additions has arrived at Hallesches FC. Striker Philipp Zulechner (31) has been training with the third division team since Wednesday afternoon.
The Austrian survived a mild corona infection last week and now feels ready for the HFC.
Zulechner: “I’m glad that the talks went well. We had contact once before in December. Now it worked on the home stretch.”
But how is the Ösi striker? He was without a club for almost half a year.
Zulechner: “I trained with a second division club in my home country and that’s how I kept my condition at a good level. Surely I need a few days of training to get lively. I’m not worried that I’ll quickly get to the others.”
Zulechner is familiar with winter changes. In the 2018/19 season he came to Aue at the same time. He immediately scored four goals and played his part in staying up.
does he do it again? Zulechner, who signed until the end of the season: “I hope I can do it just as well as I did in Aue. It’s going to happen in quick succession over the next few weeks. I really want to help there.”
Its discoverers back then were Daniel and André Meyer, the brothers who trained Aue. The latter has now revived contact as HFC coach.
Zulechner: “I’m grateful for that. My goal is to keep Halle up in the league and to play as many games as possible.”
