Cancelled! The city duel against Türkgücü Munich should have increased on Saturday: But now the lion shock! The Munich health department sent the team into team quarantine.
Reason: Several players tested positive on Friday (despite full vaccination protection). No wonder after the corona outbreak at the DFB Cup opponent Karlsruher SC. At KSC there were 16 positive players.
In a press release from the lions it says: “From the lions’ point of view, this is all the more annoying because the entire team has adhered to an internally defined, meticulous hygiene concept for the past two years, which has meant that several players or members are never allowed to play at the same time of the coaching and functional team were affected by corona infections.
No names have been mentioned yet, just this much: “The positive cases occurred with team members of the Löwen who were in closed rooms together with players and officials of the KSC as part of the doping control and other joint mandatory appointments. All people who tested positive have no or only mild symptoms.”
Curious: Lion defender Kevin Goden (22), who just came out of quarantine, is now stuck again. Goden has been in isolation almost continuously since the beginning of January.
What does that mean for the third division game on Tuesday evening (7 p.m.) against Kaiserslautern? The game is in serious jeopardy because it is not yet clear when 1860 will come out of team quarantine and then be allowed to train again.
