1. FC Köln: Cologne and Leverkusen are so dependent on fashion and chic

The Rhenish derby rivals are on the drip of their star scorer like no other Bundesliga club!

Cologne and Leverkusen are fighting for the European places at the start of the second half of the season. And the clubs owe that to FC star Anthony Modeste (33/12 goals) and Bayer Ballermann Patrik Schick (25/17 goals)!

Both met again at the weekend …

Modeste had initiated Cologne’s 3-1 at Hertha Sonntag with his header goal to make it 1-0, now has nine header goals and only needs two more to hit the historic league record of 11 header hits per season (Barbarez 2001 & Koller 2005).

Schick had also scored Leverkusen against Union (2: 2) on Saturday for the interim 1: 0 lead and is only three goals behind Bayern star Robert Lewandowski (33/20 goals) in the top scorer list.

Curious: Modeste and Schick are each responsible for 40 percent of all goals in their clubs! The two clippers have the largest share of the goal account of their teams in a league comparison. Even Lewandowski (35 percent) and Erling Haaland (21/30 percent) can’t keep up …

It is impossible to imagine where Cologne and Leverkusen would be without their star strikers. In any case, the two clubs would then have very little to do with Europe!
